Web 8080 was founded on 1990 by Ken Empie. Web 8080 was originally for consulting on computer hardware, DOS 2.0 and AutoCAD 2.6
Ken co-designed software for assets disposition in the 90's during the banking crisis. He founded the RTC Store in 1990 to help liquidate assets to needy businesses.
in 1993, Ken worked and consulted with Geonex Worldwide, the largest cartography company in the world at that time. He was responsible for designing custom CADD routines and Network automation.
Later,
Ken was to join ResolveNet, heading the India division and designing and building the first CAC (Computer Assisted Classification) system, a proponent of the UN-SPSC. In 2000 Ken spoke at the World Leadership Conference to include members of the United Nations, Governments and heads of fortune 1000 companies.
After the "dot-com" bubble burst in 2001, Ken went freelance and has built over 400 web sites and 71 legacy application. He also created Domains 8080 , an internet domain registry that he manages personally. Ken is currently the head of IT for 6 companies and does private consulting for businesses, celebrities and government agencies.
